World War II Events

As President Roosevelt said, “December 7th 1941, will be known as the day of infamy.” Pearl Harbor was allegedly bombed and broken by the Japanese fleet of the east. The amount of men lost in this attack hit America hard and brought America into the new World War. As Japan thought they had American by the balls, America dropped an atomic bomb on the Japanese city Hiroshima on august 6th 1945. Japan was stricken very hard but did not have the heart to surrender… so America came back three days later to drop another atomic bomb on the city of Nagasaki killing at least 40,000 people, which lead to the end of World War II.

As America is fighting the war against Japan, In Germany, thousands upon thousands of Jews were being killed at various camps called “work camps” or “Concentration camps.” The Leader of this infamy calls himself Adolph Hitler, Dictator of Nazi Germany. During this time Hitler blamed Jewish citizens for the dismay of Germany, and the downfall of their country. The Holocaust is the event taken place when Jews were being tortured and killed. Holocaust means Death by Fire. Many men, woman, and even children died by fire. They were stuffed into a crematorium and burnt to death. If you didn’t work, the Nazi’s would kill you. If you were weak, the Nazis would kill you. If you are a child under the age of 12, the Nazi’s would kill you. Nazi’s would kill for the smallest reasons.
